If you'll remember from THIS POST, John gave me his really, really, really nice Nikon D70 and I have finally figured out how to do the partial blurry photography thing. I have since learned the official term for this is called "bokeh". (Thanks for this, blogging commentators!)

A door in my dad's backyard...
New ivy...
A wind chime balance...
A hinge in my dad's back yard...
A wrought iron arch...

Beautiful pics. My Dad is a professional photographer, and he just bought a new camera! And guess who gets his old one??? I am so excited. I have no idea how to use it, so if you want to give some lessons, I am allllll ears! I love the wrought iron one! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteyou have a great eye! seems like you are really getting familiar with the camera-soon it will feel like an extension of your own hand-just part of you. the pioneer woman has an excellent photography section on her blog-she gives all kinds of tutorials. some months back she even had a bokeh contest. i included her link for the shallow depth of field. keep shooting!
