A conversation...
4-Year-Old Boy: Mom! Hurry, I need a coin because a twin is locked in the bedroom and I have to unlock it!
Me: Okay, go ask Grandma for one. Is he crying?
4-Year-Old Boy: Yeah, so I have to hurry!
[4-Year-Old Boy obtains coin from Grandma, and is heard continuing conversation to himself as he runs down hallway...]
4-Year-Old Boy [in worried tone]: Oh, I hope this works! It was all my fault!
[Coin is heard jimmying door knob, door is heard creeking open.]
4-Year-Old Boy: YES!
[Twin stops crying.]
Man, I love that boy!
why did that make me cry?! very sweet. you are definitely doing something right.
ReplyDeleteThat WAS sweet! What a tenderhearted lil' man!
ReplyDeleteHe is so sweet! How precious.
ReplyDeleteHow precious! And how awesome of you to have not totally flipped out when you heard he was locked in there!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet, and how crazy that this evening my 4-year-old boy locked himself in his Grandma bathroom, was crying, and we had to use a coin to open the door.
ReplyDeleteCrazy? yes?
Ale, that is so weird! I'm so glad a coin works anywhere in the world you are!
ReplyDeleteAww. What a sweetheart!
ReplyDeletethats hilarious...how did that kid learn how to jimmy a lock with a key? I used to lock my door just so I could pick the lock! I actually left my cat in there one day (she was sleeping on my bed)--it was a great motivator to get the door back open!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen :-) A four year old that can Jimmy a lock ..... how is he at using credit cards on exterior house doors? Or clothes hangers on car doors? chuckle, chuckle .... HONEST!!
ReplyDeleteHope your having a 'warm and fuzzy' week with your mom!
Obviously not the first time the door has been locked from the inside if he knew that he needed a coin to open it!
