I know this is a LOOOOONG shot, but I lost an inexpensive point and shoot at the beach in Santa Monica, CA this evening. It is a red camera in a grey case. It's got super-adorable pics of my kids and nieces and nephews, including the twins, taken immediately before it apparently dropped out of my purse and into the sand. If there's a one in a million chance you happened to be in Santa Monica and know someone who might have picked it up, please leave a comment. Thank you! :)
I am not sure if you have thought of this yet, but I recently found out that craigslist has a section for lost and found. All you have to do is go to craigslist.com and then search for the state, and then city. Narrow down the search as close as you can and then hit the lost and found section. We lost and then found our camera on our honeymoon almost 18 years ago. Best Wishes!
ReplyDeleteI JUST posted about this on my work Facebook Fan Page! This is a website for people who find lost cameras! Keep your eye out! And promote this website as best you can! The more people that know about it, the more likely it is that when people find a lost camera, they will be able to reunite it with their owner! And Yes, Life Happens is totally right, Craig's List lost * Found section is a great place to post too!!!

ReplyDelete:) I hope it helps!
"Life Happens" and Emily, thank you so much! I was nearly moved to tears by your advice and concern. I haven't been able to sleep all night thinking about the pictures I've lost on that camera. There were a few, in particular, that I was trying to get of the twins... In the first few they weren't smiling at all, then, behind me, I heard the 11-year-old boy say, "Hey, Twins!" and they BURST out laughing! I don't know what he was doing, but the photos were adorable and now I no longer have them. Also, there was one of Baby Hippo with his bum in the air and his face upside down, like he was about to do a summersault. I keep thinking of those pictures in particular.
ReplyDeleteThank you, again, so much for your advice. Going to your site right now, Emily.
