How long were your labors?
Kid #1, 24 hours
Kid #2, 18 hours
Kid #3, 10 hours
Kid #4, 20 hours
Kid #5, 20 hours
Kid #6, 51 hours
Kid #7, 36 hours
Kids #8 and #9 (twins), 10 minute c-section!
How did you know you were in labor?
Kid #1, small labor pains
Kid #2, water leakage
Kids #3, #4, #5, #6, and #7, small labor pains
Kids #8 and #9, scheduled c-section but water GUSHED in chiropractors office 3 hours before appointment!
Where did you deliver?
Kids 1-6, teaching military hospital
Kids 7-9, teaching county hospital
Drugs?
Kid #1, demoral (just wanted to go back to sleep after she was born)
Kid #2, demoral (was too tired to push and the doctor cussed at me for it)
Kids 3-7, no drugs (wonderful, euphoric feeling when it was over and totally worth the pain!)
Kids 8 and 9, a really good spinal for the c-section
C-section?
Yes, with #'s 8 and 9
Who delivered?
Kids 1-4, random army doctor
Kid #5, army certified nurse midwife (loved her!)
Kid #6, random army doctor
Kid #7, certified nurse midwife
Kids 8 and 9, this guy...
(This is the nicest doctor I have ever met in my entire life.)
There you have it...my labor days! And they were all worth it!

You deserve to be honored on Labore Day! I think I was only in labor about 8 hours total for my Four kids. My first was like maybe 2.5 hours and my last was like 45 minutes - we barely made it to the hospital. The Pic of kids is adorable. I love your kids! Give CLaire a big Hug.
