Today I thought I'd combine my two favorite blog carnivals...
and...
...into one post.
I'm talking about tackling this eyesore...
This is the first thing you see when you walk into the mother-in-law's apartment in which we are residing temporarily until our larger home is finished. It's disgusting, disturbing and unviting, is it not?
Were it not for Tackle-it Tuesday, it would still look like the above photo, but with the motivation of wanting to post this tonight, I tackled it!
Here is what I did with the babies at one point...
Here is what it looked like halfway tackled...
...and here is the finished product!
My favorite part? Now Johnny can get his own cereal!
What is your "tackle-it" for the week? Let's meet here next Tuesday and talk about it!

ReplyDeleteThe cereal thingys are so cool and your twins are absolutely precious!
ReplyDeleteYour house is always amazingly orderly and clean. I don't know how you do it. Don't you just love the BUMBO?!
ReplyDeleteGreat tackle! :D It is amazing how fast things can stack on top of each other. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great and look at all those cute naked babies too!!! I'm famous for getting counters cleaned off but things just pile up again. I am getting better but it's difficult to change my piling ways! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteIt looks awesome, what a change! Gotta love the Bumboo seats! In my opinion, one of the greatest inventions ever!~
ReplyDeleteYour hubby - IN A PANIC!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you put the green CFE light bill that is in the messy picture and not in the cleaned up pic. - we need it! Without it we will all be in the dark when the cut our lights off!
Love that cereal dispenser...
ReplyDeleteWow, I've never seen anybody else with a cereal dispenser before! We just have a single one, but it works for us! A double would be awesome, though.
ReplyDeleteNice tackle! You did a good job.
Wow! Great tackle! It's amazing how much a clean "first view" can change your attitude when you walk in the door!
ReplyDeleteBack again..I just noticed you are in New Mexico too! I'm a transplant to Roswell.
ReplyDeleteLooks GREAT! Looks kinda like an area of my kitchen before I decluttered! So you aren't alone!
ReplyDeleteGood job!
How perfect!!! My kiddos used to play with jar rings too! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI've been to your blog several times, but didn't realize you are in Mexico! I'm in AZ, so we know heat, don't we? Sometimes it just makes it hard to do anything and/or everything! Love the cereal dispenser and your tackle looks really great.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tackle! I really need to get some of those dispensers...it's the only way cereal would get eaten around here.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Now you can see your beautiful counter, it looks great!
ReplyDeletenow the question is...what did you do with all that junk? put it all where it BELONGS? or just shove it somewhere else??
ReplyDeleteWow! Looks great! I feel inspired...
ReplyDeletecongrats, Jen. Now go get your big bowl of chocolate ice cream!

ReplyDeleteYour kids seem to be in diapers in a lot of the pictures. I have to say, I'm glad I'm not the only one. LOL. Even my toddler is usually a)naked or b) half dressed. Baby always in diaper.
