"It Was All My Fault!"

A conversation...

4-Year-Old Boy: Mom! Hurry, I need a coin because a twin is locked in the bedroom and I have to unlock it!

Me: Okay, go ask Grandma for one. Is he crying?

4-Year-Old Boy: Yeah, so I have to hurry!

[4-Year-Old Boy obtains coin from Grandma, and is heard continuing conversation to himself as he runs down hallway...]

4-Year-Old Boy [in worried tone]: Oh, I hope this works! It was all my fault!

[Coin is heard jimmying door knob, door is heard creeking open.]

4-Year-Old Boy: YES!

[Twin stops crying.]

Man, I love that boy!

How precious! And how awesome of you to have not totally flipped out when you heard he was locked in there!

How sweet, and how crazy that this evening my 4-year-old boy locked himself in his Grandma bathroom, was crying, and we had to use a coin to open the door.
Crazy? yes?

Ale, that is so weird! I'm so glad a coin works anywhere in the world you are!

thats hilarious...how did that kid learn how to jimmy a lock with a key? I used to lock my door just so I could pick the lock! I actually left my cat in there one day (she was sleeping on my bed)--it was a great motivator to get the door back open!

Obviously not the first time the door has been locked from the inside if he knew that he needed a coin to open it!
