Note to Self...Never...

...get twins boys immunized on the same day. If one fussy baby is challenging, two at the same time is nearly unmanageable. Thank goodness for a mom who forgoes extra trips to Walmart, a clean house, and three-hour naps to bounce baby boys. Thank goodness for a husband who forgoes much needed sleep to walk babies at 1 in the morning, then gets up at 4:00 AM to go to work! Thank you, Mama and John!

(I'm happy now, but just wait until 1:00 in the morning!)

(Can I go last?)

And what, you may ask, did I do to make myself feel better? I did what anyone on a diet would do. Boy #3 (8 yrs) was making this...

So I thought I would get some of this...

and pour some of this, unbaked, raw eggs and all...

over this...

And you know what? I don't even feel that bad about it. And I think that is a problem...

Ok, I think there´s a rule, that if dealing with cranky baby´s you´re allowed to eat whatever your heart desires! Didn´t hear that one yet? You should come to my house....it´s a big rule there! :-)
Hope they are feeling better!

Dieting and shots don’t go together! It’s just a given that you can eat whatever you want guilt free on immunization day!

lol That's HILARIOUS! And OH. MY. HECK... do I know what it's like having 2 kids immunized on the same visit. That's BAD. I would have LOVED to see a picture of you eating the raw brownie batter on ice cream... LOL YUM.

I bet you're going to miss your mom!!
That dessert sounds delicious. I agree with the other comments... calories and dieting just go out the window on days like that. It's an age-old coping strategy!! :-) So you said you're going to see me today. Does that mean at a bridal shower?? Are you actually home? I can't wait to find out :-)
Love,
C

Of course you shouldn't feel bad about the brownie batter and ice cream! We need those coping mechanisms!!! I always take the twins to get their immunizations together, because I can't imagine going back a second time, BUT I ALWAYS take someone with me because I really don't think I could do it alone....usually my mom and sister go with me. My girls just had their 18mos. checkup. I posted about it too. Check it out if you have time! :) (PS- I think I have an idea for the contest post. I am going to work on it later! :))

Is that ALL it took to make mommy feel better? :-) I don't know if that would have been enough for me to endure two kids on the same day with shots! Hang in there!

I agree on a day like that you can have whatever you want...guilt free. You are a brave mommy. Ok I just saw twins in June and they already look much bigger...so cute!
Keep going Jen.......You are great!

You showed me how raw cookie dough could be a meal, but I never thought of raw brownie dough. Yum! Hey, remember that fruit dip we used to make with fluff and cream cheese???? Another good meal.

I found your blog through Tammy, and it's great! I have a nine month old and can't imagine what it would be like if we had two of him, climbing, crying, eating or anything else! I agree with everyone else...don't diet on days like that!!!

I learned a similar lesson- I took all 3 boys to get shots on the same day. Wow, was the trip home awful, just awful. I probably came home and ate something terrible for me too!
