Join us for the "Make It From Scratch" carnival this Tuesday!

Hi Everybody,

I feel really bad because I was supposed to announce this a couple of days ago, as today at 11:59 PM is the deadline, but the twins have had what we believe to be hand, foot and mouth disease. Not to be confused with hoof and mouth, it's not deadly, like it is to domestic farm animals, but benign and is a virus which lasts about a week to ten days. The symptoms are difficult to deal with, though, as the babies have broken out with blisters on their tongues, hands and feet. Twin B is especially suffering from the mouth blisters and has a hard time eating anything. We did finally determine that he can eat whole wheat blender pancakes (click HERE for recipe), as he ate FIVE of them last night! Poor kid is making up for lost time, I think! Anyway, here is the announcent I was supposed to make on Thursday! Sorry!

On August 18th, I am pleased to announce that I will again be guest-hosting the weekly...

...Blog Carnival! (If you're not sure what a blog carnival is, click HERE.)

I would like to cordially invite each and every one of you to enter your "make it from scratch" posts HERE, by Sunday, Sunday 16th, 11:59 PM. You can write a new post especially for this carnival, or you can search your archives and enter one you've already written. Many bloggers enter posts about something they've made in their kitchen from scratch, but you could also enter crafts you've made, homemaking creations or anything else you might consider "made from scratch".

Please come back here Tuesday, August 18th (or everyday until then if you'd like!) to see what your fellow homemakers are making from scratch! We're going to have a great time and remember, I'll look forward to your entries by Sunday! Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

P.S. Please email me at mom2my9[at]gmail[dot]com or leave a comment if you have any questions. Thanks!

Hope the little ones get over it sooner than ten days. Sorry they feel so bad.

Oh no, poor babies!!! I hope they recover quickly. Must be *so* uncomfortable for them.

And how are you feeling? How long does your nausea/tiredness usually last?
